With khaki, cast on 315 stitches. Knit 272 rows in garter stitch.

Odd numbered rows:knit 107 sts khaki, 58 red, 43 blue, 107 khaki.
Reverse the color work on the even numbered rows — 107 khaki, 43 blue, 58 red, 107 khaki. (Note: the pattern doesn’t specify whether the flag is to be worked in garter or stockinette stitch; choose the look you prefer)
